2011 Salisbury Club Championship
FORMAT: 4 Rounds/Swiss USCF Rated (USCF Membership is required) G/120
WHEN: Saturday October 1st and Sunday October 2nd
WHERE: The Holly Center, 926 Snow Hill Road, Salisbury, MD (rear: health center training rooms).
SCHEDULE: Saturday 10/1: 8:30 AM – 9:00 AM: set-up (help is appreciated)
9:00 AM - 9:45 AM: Registration and check in
10:00 AM – Round 1, 3:00 PM – Round 2
Sunday 10/2: 9:00 AM – Round 3, 2:30 PM – Round 4 (@ conclusion of round: break-down; and awards.....help is appreciated)
FEES: $40.00……… Prizes will be based on the following after expenses (room fees, rating fees, possible TD fees if needed & $15.00 into the club kitty for yearly dues, trophy engraving etc….): Please pay cash to Ken (no checks). Open to regular club members, new members and past winners of "The Cup".
PRIZES:
1st: 50% + Trophy
2nd: 30%
3rd: 10%
Largest Upset (also known as the Richard Johnson Big Knight Award) (draws count for ½): 10%
Tie-Breaks: Cash prizes will be split. If tie is for 1st place, there will be a one game (speed) play-off game to determine trophy recipient (if a tie for first, all 1st place winners will be noted on trophy: trophy recipient will be noted with an*).
BYES: Two ½ point byes are available for any round (s)…but they MUST be requested prior to the close of registration (as soon a possible would be nice).
Chris has had the club trophy residing in the Dover area for a year now..... It's time to bring it back to Salisbury. Chris: Please bring the cup, base, box etc.......to the tourney on Sunday 10/2.
