2010 All Army Chess Championships

The 2010 All Army Chess Championship held 16th-21st of May is in it's 50th year. The top six finishers will go on to the Interservice Championships to compete for the NATO Championship. Yours truly was the first to use the Monroi device in this event. Mr. Kris D'Alessandro, Recreation Center Program Manager/tournament organizer, liked the idea and purchased six devices and the tournament unit so that this American military tradition could be broadcasted. The Air Force has followed suit and uses Monroi's too.

Below is an embedded working replay of all of the tournaments games to date simply move you cursor to "replay games" to see a game online. Enjoy

Congratulations to the 12 men who qualified for 2010 All-Army Championships.  Arthur Macaspac won the competion with a little help from his friends over master Pieta Garrett(2204).   Rounding out the 2010 All-Army Team is Nataniel Rockhill, Jhonel Baniel, Ismael Pagan and Andre Paradela.  If any of the men are unable to participate an alternate will be selected in Paul King, Perez Samuel, Larry Cox Jr., Sean Allen and Charles Florance.  Good luck Army as we try to overcame a loaded Air Force Chess Team and a pesky Navy Team.  The next tournament is the Interservice Championship is which I believe will be in a Michigan Naval Station, Great Lakes. August 2nd through 6th.
