May We Mate? Tournament May 1, 2010, Holley Center, Salisbury, MD

Good morning to all:



First of all, thank you very much to those of you who participated in “May We Mate”. To say the tourney was a success would be an understatement as I think top to bottom, it was probably the strongest tourney we have ever held in Salisbury. Everyone scored at least a .5 point and the scores and results were very close (see copy below) and the games were all tough and competitive..

I wish to take this opportunity to thank Fran Hasson for donating a travel set. We presented the set to Clinton Young for travelling the longest distance……all the way from Orlando Florida! Second, I would like to especially thank Dean Miller for submitting the tourney results for me. I tried to go on-line several times over the weekend to submit the results to the USCF but there was a problem with my log-in which apparently can only be checked during week-day business hours. I emailed the full results to Dean who took the time to enter them under the Milford Chess Club’s affiliate # Sunday afternoon so the results would not be considered late. And finally to all of you. Your support and enthusiasm for my tournaments is greatly appreciated! I would also like to extend another congrats to Art Sargent who obtained his first USCF victory and provisional rating in this event.
