Chess Web Site: MonRoi.com

The Personal Chess Manager or PCM is a PDA or Personal Device Assistant that is dedicated to electronically keeping a chess score sheet. By rules in all United States Chess Federation (USCF) and International Chess (FIDE) sanctioned chess tournaments, it is required that each player to keep score or track of all the moves of the game. There is no chess move calculator on the device. The PCM's only job is to accept input of the moves by allowing the user to use a stylus to point to a piece and move it to a legal square on the screen. Some of the advantages of using the device are a) no more illegible score sheets b) errors are easily corrected c) ability to transfer games to a computer d) uses less time e) less chance of error in scoring f) review games faster. If you have a few extra pennies it is worth the investment. Games are published using the MonRoi on the website and can be seen in real time if the Tournament Director (TD) has the equipment. I have been using the MonRoi PCM since 2007. I have about 11 games that were published on the internet in real time. Most games I've have played were simply to comply with the rules in local tournaments. I have enjoyed using it and can not see using pen and paper scoresheets ever again. For more information I recommend visiting MonRoi.com.
